Mother of the Year

I am scheduled to have a lumbar laminectomy on Monday morning. I had my pre-admission appointment on Tuesday where I was told that I can't take any more Advil- YIKES! Needless to say I am now in pain, quite grumpy and really looking forward to Monday! I had to stop by my parent's house the other night on the way home from the kids' dance class to "borrow" a bottle of wine - I just needed something to take the edge off....of course now my kids are saying, "Mommy can't take her pills so she needs alcohol." Great. I'm sure I'm up for mother-of-the-year now!
